Nōku to Ao – The world is mine – I am me

Get your Angel Wings on and stand proud in our space.

Our giant community artwork (2023) in the Kerikeri Domain celebrates everyone – just as they are.

When community members come together as one, beautiful things happen. Each individual feather was designed and painted by disabled children, the elderly, immigrants, rangatahi (teens), tangata whenua, LGBTQIA+/queer, straight, seasonal workers, exchange students, and all ethnicities and beliefs. These are the people who make our community vibrant and beautiful.

Take care of what our children hear, see & feel, for how they grow is how Aotearoa will be shaped. Dame Whina Cooper’s wise words light the path towards a healthy future, and to do that, we must all live together as one, valuing the culture and wisdom each of us brings to the community.

We invite visitors and locals to proudly ‘wear’ our wings & celebrate diversity and inclusivity with us. Then our tamariki will see, hear and feel that every human, no matter who they choose to be, has value and belongs together in this space.

The world is yours. Be you.

Get your Angel wings on and stand proud in our space.
