We absolutely thrashed 2020 with over 5000 connections to some of our most vulnerable kiwi kids. But most recently, we had a super successful Christmas project with the help of you and our New Zealand community.
Christmas 2020 was a whole lot better for over 400 families in the Far North because we all worked together to make a difference.
Look at these numbers from our Angel Xmas Campaign:
- 2400x Kai Boxes packed
- 3000x Gifts donated by our community
- 1457x Gifts given to children (some had multiple things)
- 2000+ People directly impacted by the gifts (possibly more like 3000)
- 1060x Volunteer hours
- 152x Volunteers
What we’d hoped would be a $10k fundraising promo turned into a massive sharing of love from the people of Aotearoa. After AngelMAMA told it straight to the crew on TV One NEWS BREAKFAST show in December, our fundraising went ballistic!
In just 48 hours you helped us raise over $50,000.00! Thank you NZ!
Our volunteers are beyond amazing! True Angels who worked day and night to double our output with only 2 weeks notice… AND our hard working and super caring Partners need halos as well. Thanks to NZ Police, Plunket, Women’s Refuge, Iwi Organisations and Social Services, plus Health and Education providers. These Partners delivered the Kai Boxes and gifts to 400 grateful and emotional whānau across our rohe (region).
The reports were so heartwarming, including tears of gratitude and relief and whoops of excitement plus hugs and smiles.
