They smiled. They cried. They said….

These comments came from health workers at Whakawhiti Ora Pai – the furthest north health service in Aotearoa, NZ, at Te Kao.

Karen said, “A māmā shared that the gifts reminded her she wasn’t alone and that her whānau mattered.

For the tamariki, the impact was immediate; seeing their excitement and joy when receiving their gifts was incredibly special. The gifts made them feel seen, valued, and celebrated.

One parent became emotional, sharing that receiving kai lifted a heavy burden and meant their tamariki would have full puku over the Christmas holidays.

For the tamariki themselves, it brought comfort, warmth, and a sense of safety. The kai was not just food; it was aroha, hope, and a reminder that someone cared.

Overall, the impact went far beyond the gifts themselves.

Bald Angels helped uplift whānau mana, reduce stress in the home, and create positive memories for both parents and tamariki.”

Thank you to everyone who makes this project possible. Without you, we cannot row this waka (canoe).
