Angels at Christmas

Putting smiles on kids faces is just one great thing about this project.

Christmas spirit does not happen for many of our most vulnerable and impoverished Kiwi kids & their whānau. Families in our communities often don’t get to have food around Christmas, let alone being able to afford Christmas gifts.

There are so many added expenses, and often parents’ places of employment close over the Christmas period, reducing their already limited income. The impact that Covid and inflation have had on families over the past few years is huge, with many families now having even less income coming in.

Our generous community donates over 1600 gifts every year in the spirit of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga … but we need help with funding the Kai boxes (food parcels) please.

We want to give out as many Kai boxes as possible this Christmas, but to do that we do need financial help. We estimate Kai Boxes will be up to $200 each this year. The boxes are filled with specific basics that are chosen to be practical in terms of:
– creating family meals
– storage and use (consideration for families without storage, freezers, electricity etc)
– health and wellbeing

We include fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, grocery staples, cleaning and hygiene products plus a recipe book.

Families all across Te Tai Tokerau-Northland, Aotearoa-New Zealand will be so thankful for your support.

If you’d like to sponsor an Angel Christmas Kai Box or gifts visit the Angel Shop or Donate.

Annual Toy Drive Gift Boxes

It’s time to share fun, holidays, family time, kai and gifts. We are determined to bring some relief to whānau again this Christmas, times are tough and families need our love and care.

Support our Toy Drive by donating an unwrapped gift that meets the above criteria. We have drop off points across Te Tai Tokerau-Northland. Our last collection from these points is 1 December.
