Want to be a volunteer Angel?
We need volunteers to get involved with lots of projects at different times of the year and we’d love YOUR help.
Due to Trustee retirements, and ongoing need to support our rangatahi (youth) in the Far North, we are recruiting up to 3 new Trustees.
We currently need Trustees who can provide specific knowledge/skills in the any of the following areas:
- Board/ Business Governance
- Secretarial/Administrative organisation
- Alternative Education / Youth Training & Development
- NGO and Procurement
- Events/Project Management
- Volunteer Management
- Addictions/Mental Health and Youth
- Justice/Corrections/ Police Experience
An appreciation of youth culture; respecting and valuing youth from all social levels and ethnic, religious, cultural backgrounds is critical. An appreciation and respect for tangata Māori- cultural values is essential.
Forward thinking, visionary attitudes will be valued.
Commitment to monthly meetings (via Skype if necessary). Attendance at 4 meetings per annum is minimum requirement and each Trustee is asked to drive an annual project sub-committee.
Previous Board experience and impressive CV is not essential. You do need to share our drive and passion for vulnerable youth, and for getting things done. You need to add value, integrity and expertise in order to strengthen our ability to drive the best results for our communities, our sponsors and our people.
In return you will be part of a fun and passionate Award Winning team driving positive change for the tamariki & rangatahi (children and youth) of Aotearoa. You will Fly With The Angels and be part of a flock making a difference, right here, for our kids.
You will leave an impact on Aotearoa’s social fabric by supporting our youth to thrive.
Please apply by submitting a cover letter (& CV or resume) of why you believe you would be a great part of our team.
