Coats4Kids-Auckland to Northland

KOKW-Boots

Over 900 warm coats were collected from Auckland Schools on June 28 2022. Literally a trailer load of goodness that will change a life this winter.  This is part of our ‘Keep Our Kids Warm’ programme.

SHOUT OUTS to Vauxhall Primary School, Takapuna Grammar, Baradene College and Hotel Britomart who all generously donated so many amazing goodies!   The added bonus was listening to the tamarin share their ‘why’ and feeling the wairua….so special. It truly gives us hope for the future with these taitamariki  (children and young people) leading the way!

A warm coat will help a child get to school, learn, socialise and live life as all children should. It may not fix all the problems, but it WILL make a difference.

If you’d like to help you can head over to our Angel Shop and sponsor a warm pack or donate on the pink button.  We guarantee it will make a difference to our tamariki (children) right here in the Far North. THANK YOU ALL!

Our VISION is that ALL rangatahi are empowered, seen , heard and supported in Te Tai Tokerau. Our Rainbow/Queer/Takatāpui/LGBTQIA+ youth deserve to be celebrated and supported to be their best selves, and we’d love to hear from you if you would like to join us.

Our RAINBOW RANGATAHI Club meets weekly in Kerikeri and all youth who identify (and allies) are welcome to hang out, support each other, and share ideas on how we can create a more inclusive community.  We pick up from Kerikeri High School, and can deliver youth home with 15Km.

Safety is our no.1 priority and our youth are valued, respected and cared for by Police checked adults who either identify as Rainbow or are dedicated allies.  We can help connect to counselling if required.

Come and join us and let’s paint the world with colour, diversity, inclusivity and aroha.
